Novikov Crater sector project
Sector Projects evolve between phases, achieving their final form after phase 3 is complete. Showcased in the above images is the evolution of the Novikov Crater sector project.

Every sector of Anno 2205 includes a special multi-assignment project that, when completed, awards the player with unique bonuses to the sector in which they are located. These so-called Sector Projects consist of three phases, each containing five to eight missions, that must be completed before the full effects of the bonuses are granted. The first stage can usually be completed using the sector's resources while the latter two stages require resources from different regions as well.

Sector Projects are distributed among three categories: Ornamental projects award the player with visual appearance changes to the sector, such as fireworks and access to ornamental buildings; Standard resource projects award the player with a bonus on Energy-icon Energy, Logistics-icon Logistics, or Workforce-icon Workforce; while the Rare Resource projects award the player with a steady source of Graphenew Graphene, Petrochemicalsw Petrochemicals, Iridiumw Iridium or Magnetitew Magnetite.

Achievements are awarded to the player for the completion of each individual Sector Project, as well as for the completion of all Sector Projects in the base game. Project bonuses Logistics-icon Logistics, or Workforce-icon Workforce are untransferable, and cannot be used in sectors other than the ones in which the project is located. However, the Rare Materials collected from their respective Sector Projects can be used at will. Surplus ofEnergy-icon Energy can be transferred and switching on ornamentals effects will also trigger those build in other sectors of the same region. The ornamental project in the Arctic region will even have an effect in the Temperate sectors.

Wildwater Bay[]

Trenchcoat, one of the main non-playable neutral characters of Anno 2070, is the protagonist of Wilwater bay's sector project.

Wildwater Bay's sector project start after you found Trenchcoat Log in his ruined ship. Under the guidance of Trenchcoat, the player can raise the sunken Warehouse that, after it raised, can be an infinity source of Iridium.

Part 1: Iridium generator, available at the start

  • Step 2: Attach sensor drone to your command ship, collect 4 scattered warehouse parts and bring them to your Warehouse

Walbruck Basin[]

Walbruck Basin sector project

Completing the reparations of all three Hydroelectric Power Plants grants a bonus of 6000 energy

Walbruck Basin's sector project is the repair of three Hydroelectric Power Plants, giving the sector a maximum of 6000 bonus energy—1000 for the first dam, 2000 for the second dam, and 3000 for the third dam. Completing all phases of the sector project awards the Dam Right! achievement.

The dams were built and operated by Global Trust, a worldwide energy consortium and the leader of one of the two main factions of Anno 2070. However, the dams were severely damaged and ultimately abandoned after the company went bankrupt sometime before the events of Anno 2205.

The energy provided by the dams could make Walbruck Basin the best sector to start the campaign, as well as an optimal location for energy-intensive buildings such as the Android Factory. It also provides the player with some extra flexibility when expanding the Temperate population by freeing coastal building sites that would otherwise be occupied by Tidal Power Stations. Additionally, this sector project does not require building maintenance-heavy buildings, making its first two phases easy to finish for players without a high credit balance.

Cape Ambar[]

Cape Ambar sector project

The completed sector project showing the damaged Ark

Cape Ambar's sector project consists of raising the remnants of an old Ark, a special multi-purpose vessel used by humankind during the events of Anno 2070. Dr. Eleanor Hofwegen, the research manager of Ibarra-FoxCom, requests your help to retrieve the artificial intelligence that used to control the ship.

In return, Dr. Hofwegen provides you with a source of Graphenew Graphene after completing the first phase of the sector project. Completion of the remaining phases increases the maximum amount of the resource available, as well as awarding the To Trace an Ark achievement.

This sector project contains the most direct references to the overall Anno history, as it involves a key gameplay element from Anno 2070. As such, it will most likely attract the attention of many players because of the historical nexus. The resources the Ark provides are significantly fewer in number than those received by completing Combat Missions. Relying on the project to expand factories is difficult during the early phases of the campaign.

Viridian Coves[]

Viridian Coves sector project

The completed sector project gives the player access to three fireworks animations

Viridian Coves' sector project consists of the construction of a monument to commemorate the First Wave of Lunar Colonization, which took place 100 years prior to the events of Anno 2205. The so-called Second Wave monument is a large concrete statue of the Earth and the Moon. Its construction is overseen by Global Union's project supervisor Anthony Goodwin.

As an ornamental project, the Second Wave monument has no impact whatsoever on the player's economy. Similar to the Moon Hotel, however, finishing this sector project can prove challenging, as it requires resources and the construction of maintenance-heavy buildings that would significantly impact a player's economy during the early stages of the campaign. As such, it is recommended to leave this project (and ornamental projects in general) for when enough credit balance and resources are available.

Finishing the statue awards the player with the Carved in Concrete achievement and the following ornamental buildings: Regular Firework Fountain, Helix Firework Fountain and Shape Firework Fountain. It also allows the player to activate three different Firework effects. Each building and its respective Lightshow setting become available after completing a phase of the project. Only one setting can be active at any given time.

Completed channel checkpoint, providing the first bonus of +50 Logistics

This project will provide Logistics for this sector, there will be three 'channel checkpoints' available for construction. The first gives +50 logistics, the second +100 and the third +200 for a total of +350 logistics. Emem Buhari will be the adviser guiding you through this project. Finishing this sector project grants the player with the Change Gonna Come Achievement.

Ikkuma Glacier[]

Ikkuma Glacier sector project

First Oil Rig after being repaired

Ikkuma Glacier's sector project consists in the repair of several Oil Rigs that were leaking petroleum into the Arctic ocean. Usoyev's consultant, Luca Volodin, managed to convince the Arctic Custodians to greenlight the project and requests your help to finish the task.

In return, Volodin provides you with a source of Petrochemicalsw Petrochemicals after completing the first phase of the sector project. Completion of the remaining phases increases the maximum amount of the resource available, as well as awarding the Striking Oil achievement.

Unlike Cape Ambar's sector project, the Oil Rigs can be considered as a reliable source of the rare material, given how it provides as much as three times what the Sunken Ark can produce. However, each Rig's maximum capacity is 75 units in contrast to the Ark's 250, which means that it requires the player to constantly visit the sector to be able to maximize the amount of materials received.

Project in the sector involves establishing a refuge camp which will provide boost to workforce rate in the allocated sector. Establishing the refuge camps will give you a work force bonus of +200 for the first, +400 for the second and +800 for the third for a total of +1400. Zandra Haynes will be the advisor guiding you through this project.

Mare Relictum's sector project consists in the renovation of the Moon Hotel, originally built during the First Wave of Lunar Colonization and abandoned after the World Economic Crisis of the 22nd Century. Tourist Rovers will start appearing in the sector after at least one phase of the Moon Hotel has been completed.

Finishing the sector project awards the player with the Enjoy Your Stay! achievement and the following ornamental buildings: Observation Deck, ComBot Arena and Bungie Launcher.
